Pct. 4 Traffic Stop Yields Guns, Chicks, Arrests

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 5400 block of Atascocita Road that quickly escalated beyond a routine encounter.

During the stop, deputies determined the driver was in violation of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (UCW) and took the individual into custody. Further investigation revealed the passenger was wanted on an outstanding felony Family Assault warrant issued in Harris County. The passenger was also arrested.

Officials noted that the incident resulted in multiple arrests and included some unexpected elements — including the involvement of chickens — adding an unusual twist to the enforcement action.

Authorities credited the deputies’ attentiveness during the traffic stop for uncovering multiple violations and ensuring public safety.
