MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- On New Year’s Eve, when everyone knew extra law enforcement was out patrolling the streets for impaired drivers and other violators, quite a few people seem to have chosen a big risk. Deputies with Pct. 5 Constable Chris Jones’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 37700 block of FM 1774.
The driver, Wykee Mott, was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine. Deputies handcuffed Mott, and they say he tried to escape. DPS, Magnolia Police, and an MCSO K9 Unit assisted and quickly ending Mott’s getaway.
Wykee Tremel De Leon Mott, 30, of Humble is charged with third-degree felony Escape While Arrested / Confined and state jail felony Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-B, More Than 1 Gram. Bond was set at $10,000 on the drug charge and no bond was set on the escape charge. The cases are assigned to the 221st District Court.
