New Caney Fire Department along with Caney Creek Fire Department responded to a house fire on King Lane in the Grangerland area Friday morning. When firefighters arrived heavy smoke was coming from the single story brick structure.
Firefighters were told that a plumbing repair was being done and copper was being sweat. The fire quickly spread up the outside wall and into the attic. Moderate fire damage and heavy smoke damage was done to the home.
The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is Investigating.
