Police and EMS were called to a residence off Rayford Road before 8:00pm Wednesday evening for a female who reported a sexual assault, and auto theft. The male went to the home and sexually assaulted the woman at knife point according to family members. The white male suspect then attempted to take her at knife point to her truck in the driveway. At this point she was said to have fled from the male.
The male suspect then got in her truck and sped off.
An attempt to locate was put out on the truck and within minutes a deputy spotted one fitting the description on Interstate 45 North. As he was out on that vehicle Shenandoah Police were also watching the freeway and spotted another fitting the description at SH242 and Interstate 45. As the officer activated his emergency equipment the vehicle sped up.
The vehicle got to speeds over 100MPH. He exited Frazier Street in Conroe and turned east on the South Loop. Deputies to catch up to Shenandoah and the chase.DPS was standing by to deploy spikes at FM3083 and the loop. Shenandoah continued the chase at times over 100MPH as the driver drove on the wrong side of the road at times going head on with the traffic. At one point the Dodge truck struck a welding truck causing nothing more than a paint scuff.
The vehicle left the roadway between FM1314 and FM 3083. The driver ran off onto the right shoulder going into a curve on the wet roadway. He then came back onto the loop and started spinning. He then continued off the westbound lane and into the ditch. He was immediately apprehended by Shenandoah Police.
