Polk County Sheriff Seeks Info in Overnight Triple Shooting

POLK COUNTY, TX- On January 2, around 11:30 p.m., callers reported a shooting to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies and Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office quickly responded to the Kickapoo Marina Subdivision, with assistance from the Onalaska Police Department.

Deputies arrived to find one dead man and two other men with multiple gunshot wounds.  The two critically injured men were taken by air ambulance to a trauma center.

The Texas Rangers and Polk County District Attorney’s Office responded to the scene to provide additional assistance to the PCSO. Detectives are investigating and are confident there is no immediate danger to the general public or residents of that area, but they are unable to elaborate on that information at this point in the investigation.
