Just after 7pm Friday night Porter Fire, MCSO and MCHD responded to a child who had slipped out the door and drown on West Heritage Oaks in Porter. Medics arrived on the scene as the parents were performing CPR on the child. She was transported to Kingwood Medical Center then Life Flighted to Texas Children’s in Houston. Medical staff worked through the night but with brain swelling and blood on her lungs they were not able to save the little girl.
Sunday afternoon another 2-year old was taken to Texas Children’s from Magnolia after a drowning incident there. As of 11pm Sunday that child was still in critical condition.
