Last week, a Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted Dillon Ware, age 19, of 22857 Delta in Porter. On May 10, 2024, Ware was traveling down Valley Ranch at 90 miles per hour. The speed limit was 35. At the intersection of Olympic Forest, he struck a Hyundai Santa Fe. Both the driver and his 94-year-old passenger in the Santa Fe were seriously injured. Both were transported to Kingwood Hospital. , 94 years old, passed away a hours later due to her injuries. DPS investigated the crash and submitted its findings to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. The DA’s Office then submitted it to the Grand Jury, which did find cause to charge Ward with manslaughter. He was arrested last Friday and released on a $30,000 bond. According to Ms. Meadors’ obituary, Ramona was born on March 23, 1930, in Nash, Texas, to Minnie and George Howard. Later in life, she met her beloved husband, Reuben, to whom she was married for 61 years. Ramona dedicated her days to caring for her husband and their five children as a homemaker. Ramona enjoyed traveling, hosting friends and family, showcasing her cooking skills, and reading the Bible. In her free time, she liked to watch Wheel of Fortune and indulge in desserts such as fruit cake and her favorite Blue Bell ice cream.
