MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- On Tuesday, Pct. 3 Constable Ryan Gable’s Criminal Investigations Division, The Texas Department of Public Safety, and the La Porte Police Department, executed a residential search warrant at the La Porte home of Jason Payne. The search warrant stemmed from a Montgomery County Pct. 3 Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Detective’s proactive investigation into promotion and distribution of child pornography into The Woodlands.
The initial investigation resulted from Payne allegedly being associated with thousands of images and videos that depicted child sexual assault material and torture. During execution of the search warrant, Investigators say Payne, fled from the residence and attempted to hide and destroy evidence. However, several hundred videos depicting child sexual assault material were recovered from the residence and Payne was arrested.
Jason Glen Payne, 45, is charged with five counts of second-degree felony Promotion/Distribution of Child Pornography in Montgomery County. Payne was transported to the Montgomery County jail and remains held, as of this posting, with bond currently set at $30,000 per charge. The case will be heard in the 9th District Court of Judge Phil Grant.
