MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- On May 15, Pct. 3 Constable Ryan Gable’s Human Trafficking Unit began an investigation involving 30-year-old Roman Shoffner, of Spring. Investigators say Shoffner used an artificial intelligence program on his cellphone to alter a picture of a 17-year-old girl by removing her clothing. After the picture was allegedly altered, the image depicted the 17-year-old’s face, but her body was completely nude from the neck down.
Investigators seized Shoffner’s phone and forensically analyzed it. During the investigation, Pct. 3 Detectives say they obtained enough probable cause to believe Shoffner created the picture of the 17-year-old girl with intentions of possessing Child Pornography. An arrest warrant was secured for Shoffner.
On June 28, law enforcement found and arrested Shoffner for Possession of Child Pornography. He was booked in the Montgomery County Jail. Shoffner has since been released on $50,000 bond.
