MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX— In the early hours of Wednesday, Deputies with Precinct 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden’s Office, working with a local bail fugitive recovery team, successfully arrested 29-year-old Darren Spicer, of Porter. He was wanted on a second-degree felony warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Spicer’s warrant stems from an assault reported in late February. Spicer allegedly assaulted another man with a baseball bat, and a woman with a firearm. He evaded arrest for about six months, which was alarming, because of his extensive and violent criminal record.
Constable Hayden said he was proud a dangerous criminal was taken off the streets and put behind bars, where he belonged. Constable Hayden expressed appreciation to the other law enforcement and the bail fugitive recovery team that assisted in the case.
Spicer is in the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe. He is currently held without bond on the original Assault charge and for felony Bond Forfeiture. The case will be tried in the 9th District Court before Judge Phil Grant.
