PRECINCT 4 OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING

This evening a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle southbound on I-69 at Roman Forest for passing on the shoulder at a high rate of speed. The pursuit continued to just south of Will Clayton where he crossed the median to the feeder. At RankinĀ  Road, he pulled into a gas station in hopes of ditching the officers. A Precinct 4 Deputy spotted him and as he approached the suspect tried to run the deputy over. The deputy fired several shots at his tires but the suspect fled down the feeder to the main lanes where he once again entered I-69. At the BW8 exit, he struck the lane divider and spun out. As deputies approached he started slashing his arms.Ā  Deputies applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. The suspect was transported by HFD to Ben Taqub in critical condition.
