At 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a call came into Montgomery County dispatch reporting a major accident on Rogers Road at Grand Oaks in front of the Oak Hills of Willis Subdivision. An off-duty East Montgomery County Firefighter was first on the scene and reported that a 13-year-old child was deceased. According to DPS the teen was coming off Grand Oaks Drive and failed to stop for the stop sign. A propane truck was eastbound and was unable to avoid the collision with the motorcycle. Rogers Road was closed for close to three hours as Troopers investigated. No charges are expected. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene for the inquest and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
