A Liberty County property owner whose farm building was burglarized and where thousands of dollars of property was stolen recently is offering a $1,000 reward in addition to a reward from the Multi-County Crime Stoppers for any information leading to the arrest of the thieves responsible.
According to Liberty County Sheriff’s Lead Investigator Deputy R. Whitten the thieves cut a lock off a cattle guard gate and entered the property where the farm building is located on CR 2285. The burglary suspects then cut through the metal siding of the building to gain entry.

The property owners reported that among the many items stolen was a Miller Bobcat welding machine mounted on a custom-made black colored trailer with diamond plating on the sides, two Power Mate brand generators with one being a 3500 watt still in the box and a used 4500 watt generator, three large air compressors, a Stihl brand chainsaw and Stihl weed eater as well as many power tools and other miscellaneous items.

This burglary and theft occurred sometime between Saturday, November 24th and Monday, November 26th when a friend saw the large service doors standing open and notified the property owners. All available serial numbers and a complete description will be entered into the NCIC/TCIC database as stolen in hopes of a future recovery.

Anyone with information on the identity of the thieves responsible for this burglary is asked to call the Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392 -STOP (7867) and provide the “tip”. The identity of the tipster will remain anonymous and the additional $1,000 cash reward offered by the property owners will be added to the reward offered by the Multi-County Crime Stoppers organization.
