Hello Everyone,
My name is Chief Rick Stevens and we are putting together a fund raising campaign to support Punkin-Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department. Incorporated in 1974, the department has struggled to purchase much needed equipment and station as we are solely volunteer. In the last few years, we have struggled to purchased updated equipment and are now in the process of building a state of the art fire station that can safely hold our equipment and staff.
We are also adding a Technical Rescue Team that can respond to the special needs of the county that aren’t currently available. With the soon additional of a boy scout camp we want to have these additional services available at a seconds notice. While we have trained our members in many specialty rescues and have purchased most of the needed equipment, we find it hard to get the equipment to a call in a timely manner. We are needing to purchase a 20 foot heavy duty tandem axel enclosed trailer to haul our specialty equipment. This trailer can also be used to set up command for a large scale incident and provide rehab services to the firemen.
We are in immediate need of funds to purchase this trailer and make the modifications needed and pay architectural fees for our new building program. Any assistance to reach this goal is welcomed and much appreciated by the hard working staff at the firehouse and the community.
