PURSUIT ENDS IN ARREST OF TWO

Just after 6 pm a Splendora Police officer on patrol spotted a stolen Nissan Altima rental car from Houston that was displaying Nevada plates at FM 2090 and First Street. The officer attempted to stop it and a pursuit began. The suspects fled south on I-69 to New Caney where they turned onto McClusky Road toward Bull Sallas Park. They continued west to the back of the park. It was at that point the male jumped out and fled on foot. DPS Air Support was called in and as they assisted a MCSO Deputy spotted the suspect in the Dogwood edition. He was taken into custody. He was identified as a 15-year-old juvenile. The driver of the vehicle , a 17-year-old female was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail on charges of evading, fleeing from a police officer, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance. The juvenile was transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile facility. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables assisted Splendora Police along with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
