Just after 3 a.m. a Houston Police undercover officer spotted two Hispanic male hook up to a stolen boat near US 290 and SH 99. Backups were called and a pursuit was initiated. Harris County Precinct 4 Constables spotted the vehicle and attempted to stop it just south of the point is was stolen. The pursuit went from Cypress to Interstate 10 to I-45, then north to 610. They continued east on 610 with Houston Police assisting. The chase continued to Tidwell where they exited, just to get back on the freeway at speeds close to 100mph. Continuing north they exited Old Humble then ran the feeder northbound through Beltway 8. At Rankin Road they turned west just to turn north on the southbound feeder. They continued north and were spiked as they entered the main lanes the wrong way. Running on flats they continued north past North Park where they stopped and ran to the woods. With multiple Montgomery County Precinct 4 units descending on the area along with MCSO. One male was spotted and taken into custody. Humble Police launched their drone to assist in the search. At 5:15 am the search is still on for a Hispanic male. Charges will be filed in Harris County. The search area is north of North Park, south of West Wallis and east of Rock Creek and the drainage ditch. Anyone spotting a Hispanic male in this area who appears as if he had been running is asked to call 911.
