The community stepping up for Conroe staple Vernon’s Kuntry Katfish came to fruition Friday when a $119,000 check was presented to the restaurant’s owner. Captain Don Fullen with Precinct 1 Constable’s Office and President of The Lonestar Chapter of The Reguladores Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, presents the check to the owner Mary Bowers and her son Buster Bowers and daughter Debbie Bowers Friday at Vernon’s Kuntry Katfish. Fullen praised the restaurant for always being there to lend a helping hand when Montgomery County’s law enforcement community needed assistance. This is largest sum of money the group ever raised, all THANKS to the outpouring of support from the community.
