Repeat DWI Offender Arrested After Brief Pursuit

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested a repeat DWI offender Sunday night after he attempted to evade a traffic stop on his motorcycle.

According to investigators, on October 5, 2025, a deputy attempted to stop a motorcyclist in the 1400 block of FM 1960 Bypass Road East. The driver refused to pull over, leading deputies on a short pursuit.

Officials said the suspect, later identified as Christopher Silva, continued for several miles before pulling into a parking lot and circling the area. Deputies quickly moved in and safely detained him.

Constable Herman’s Office reported that Silva showed multiple signs of intoxication. Deputies conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which confirmed he was impaired. A further check revealed that Silva had a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated.

Christopher Silva was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Fleeing Police Officer and Driving While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense. His total bond was set at $200 out of County Court 14,” Constable Mark Herman said.
