Report Flood Damage

image

In the last 4 weeks Montgomery County has experienced extreme weather including floods, severe thunderstorms, hail, etc. The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is attempting to obtain damage reports from businesses and residences. Montgomery County may then report this information to the State of Texas for possible inclusion in a federal disaster declaration.

At this time, it does not appear Montgomery County will meet the criteria for FEMA individual assistance. However, there are other volunteer agencies that can provide disaster assistance to homeowners.

Montgomery County OEM has created a link on the website www.mctxoem.org where citizens can complete a survey to report damages. Montgomery County OEM will then share this information with The American Red Cross and United Way for possible further assistance. The link can be found on the right-hand column of the OEM webpage and is labeled “click here to report flood damage.”

For information on other services offered by the United Way please call 211 or the United Way helpline at 1-888-844-6289.
