NMC Fire responded to a reported house fire on Oak Leaf Drive off Whippoorwill Road in Cut and Shoot just after 7 pm. Units arrived to find smoke in the house caused by a surge protector. Further investigation determined a tree limb had fallen into the power lines causing power surges. there was no damage to the home.
