As if police in Harris and Montgomery Counties (and others) aren’t stretched thin enough tonight between drunks, fights, explosion reports, noise complaints and much more, some parents are endangering the lives of their children and themselves. They are actually pulling over on the interstates and freeways and getting out of vehicles with their kids to watch fireworks, creating a traffic hazard on a weekend known for drunks behind the while (not to mention drivers distracted by fireworks who don’t stop). This is illegal and it could be deadly. There are plenty of parking lots if it’s that important.
We were asked to post this by some of the people who are out there trying to keep the streets safe.
Please use common sense. It’s not worth the risk.
