Just after 9 am Friday morning two teens were driving northbound on US 59 near SH 242. As they exited the freeway a red truck came up behind them driving erratic passing other cars and trying to get in front of the two teens. As the teens approached Splendora they heard a bang which they thought was a bottle being thrown at their truck bet soon realized it was a gunshot. A bullet entered the passenger side of the truck hitting the passenger seat at about shoulder level. It then ricochets past two empty child safety seats and into the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The teens sped up and attempted to get a license number when the truck ran the red light at FM 2090 and US 59. The vehicle went west on FM 2090. Several calls had been received by 911 and deputies were looking for the vehicle. An off-duty Patton Village patrol officer spotted the vehicle westbound on FM 2090 near Daw Collins and started to follow, he was soon joined by Patton Village Police, Splendora Police, and Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office. A pursuit was initiated as the vehicle sped up to speeds of 100 miles per hour on Daw Collins. As they approached Morgan Cemetery Road the suspect vehicle turned east, They failed to negotiate the corner and ran over a stop sign and street sign before accelerating back up to almost 100 miles per hour. When they got to Wade Road they turned south and ran into a tree. With the truck now disabled the male suspect fled into the woods but was apprehended by a Precinct 4 Captain. There were two other females in the suspect vehicle that were detained.
After further investigation police found the truck to have possibly been involved in another shooting. As they discovered shell casings inside the vehicle along with bullet holes through the rear and bed of the truck which initiated inside the vehicle.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office has accepted charges on Eddie Kaleb Logsaon, who is charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen gun and aggravated assault. He is reported to be a member of the White Knight’s gang. One of the females identified as Ruby Pauline Robbins, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance. She is reported to be a member of the Aryan Brotherhood gang. The third female was released.
