Old 105 at Daw Collins has just reopened after a fatal crash was discovered just after 7am Tuesday morning. Sometime late last night or early this morning a Toyota passenger car was northbound on Daw Collins at a high rate of speed. The vehicle went over the railroad tracks, went airborne and landed in the intersection. The vehicle then continued into the trees and into the creek-bed about 12-feet below grade. The vehicle was pretty much hidden from the roadway until a passerby spotted it. DPS is investigating. We will update as soon as his identity is released. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace James Metts arrived on the scene and ordered McNutt Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
