On January 9th, 2015 the Cleveland Police Department was called to the Valero Convenience store located at the Corner of Easy Street and Houston Avenue in regards to a Robbery.
A male wearing a black in color hoodie walked into the store at 1:21am to make a purchase. While doing so, the store clerk opened her cash drawer and the male reached over the counter and punched the clerk in the face. After doing so, he ran out of the convenience store into a wooded area. Cleveland PD Officers were called to the scene but were unable to locate a suspect.
Several days later, a male matching the description of the suspect was observed by Detective John Shaver, the male was identified as Ricky Dean Johnson of Cleveland (age 53).
A continued investigation found that Ricky Dean Johnson did commit the Robbery at Valero and the case was presented to a Liberty County Grand Jury. The Grand Jury indicted Ricky Dean Johnson for the offense of Robbery.
Ricky Johnson was arrested on September 14th, 2015 for Robbery by the Cleveland Police Department and is currently being held in the Liberty County Jail.
