The suspect in Wednesdays robbery of the AT&T Store on FM 2978 and FM 1488 who after being chased and crashing his car shot himself and died at the scene has been identified as Brandon Ray Dalton, age 26 of Spring.
This was not Dalton’s first brush with the law. On March 7, 2002 he was charged with robbery and sentenced to 1 year. The robbery was dropped to a Class A Misdemeanor by the 184th District Court in Harris County He was also charged with a Class B Theft which was combined with the robbery sentence.
On December 18, 2003 he was charged with Evading Arrest by the Houston Police Department and given 6 months in jail.
On August 2, 2006 he was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and sentenced to 5 years.
On August 18, 2010 he was charged with theft and given 30 days in jail.
