Just after 11 p.m. Thursday Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported robbery at the Shell gas station and Subway Sandwich shop which are housed in the same building at the intersection of Williams and FM 1484 in North Montgomery County. When they arrived, they learned two black males entered the store carrying a shotgun. They then robbed the clerk. One of the males also assaulted the clerk who refused medical attention. The males then fled the scene on foot to the rear of the building. Several units converged on the area to search for the suspects. One of the units as he approached saw cash lying in the roadway approximately one block away at Jody Drive. One black male was slender and approximately 5’-11”, slender build. The second a bit shorter. They both wore masks and dark colored hoodies with lighter colored pants. It is believed the had a vehicle waiting for them and dropped some of the cash as they were getting in the vehicle. Detectives will be analyzing the security video Friday morning.
Just last Sunday, Walker County Sheriff’s Office worked a robbery of a Shell Station and Subway on SH 75 and SH 150 in New Waverly, in that robbery 4-black males were involved. In that robbery a handgun was used, and a dark colored vehicle was used. It has not yet been determined if they are the same robbers.
