Late this afternoon around 6:30 PM, the Montgomery County Sherriff’s Office responded to the report of a robbery that had just occurred at the Subway Restaurant in the 20800 block of FM 1485 in the New Carney area.
Deputies learned that two black males entered the restaurant and one of the suspects demanded the money from the cash register while holding a handgun. During the robbery a customer came into the store but was ordered to leave by one of the suspects. This witness has not been located.
The suspects fled running on foot toward FM 1485 and Loop 494 with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.
No further descriptions of the suspects are available as the investigation continues.
The witness who interrupted the robbery is encouraged to call the Montgomery County Sherriff’s Office and speak with a deputy.
