On August 20, 2010 at 0500 hours M.C.S.O. Patrol responded to a robbery of an individual occurred at the Exxon Convenience store located at the intersection of Gleneagle Drive and Highway 242.
The 62 YOA female Complainant went into the store and while in the store Jason Byford removed the Complainant’s purse from her minivan and got into a vehicle being driven by Michael Johnson. The Complainant ran out of the store to retrieve her purse and grabbed the driver’s side window when Michael Johnson accelerated carrying the complainant about 30 feet where she fell face first on the concrete parking lot. The complainant was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries by EMS. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded and was able to identify the listed suspects.
At the time of the Robbery Michael Johnson was the only suspect identified and a warrant for his arrest was obtained. The Major Crimes Unit requested the help of the MCSO Swat and they were able to identify Jason Byford as the second suspect. MCSO SWAT Officers were able to locate and arrest Jason Byford and he was still in possession of the Complainant’s credit cards.
