ROBBERY THWARTED AND THREE IN CUSTODY

Approximately 3:50a.m. Wednesday morning, three black males attempted to commit an aggravated robbery at the Exxon Station located at 2444 Research Forest at Hewitt.
The store clerk saw a passenger car in the parking lot and became suspicious, locked the front door and called 911.
The clerk was on the phone with 911 when one of the suspects approached the front door carrying a black handgun and tried to come into the store. When the suspect realized the door was locked he retreated leaving in the car with the other male suspects.
The vehicle was spotted traveling east on Research Forest by Shenandoah Police and MCSO Deputies. Bandanna face masks and 3 BB pistols were found in the car. All three were arrested and face charges of criminal attempt of aggravated robbery.
They were identified as Detayvious Rashad Merrill, age 19 of Spring, Robert Perry Forman, age 18, of Spring and a sixteen year old who is unidentified.
