About 4:30pm Friday a female was traveling north on Business 59 just south of where it intersects I-69 and south of East River. For unknown reasons the vehicle went off the right shoulder. The female over corrected causing the vehicle to cross both lanes, go to the inside median then back onto the roadway and flip. In the vehicle were her two young sons agers 4 and 7. The 7-year-old was ejected along with his mother. MCHD transported the mother in critical condition to Kingwood Hospital. THe two children were transported to Memorial Hermann at the Texas Medical Center in serious condition. Splendora Police investigated the crash and were able to determine there were no seatbelts worn by the occupants or there were no child safety seats in the vehicle.
Alrededor de las 4:30 p. m. del viernes, una mujer viajaba hacia el norte por Business 59, justo al sur de donde se cruza con la I-69 y al sur de East River. Por motivos desconocidos el vehÃculo se salió del arcén derecho. La mujer se corrigió demasiado, lo que provocó que el vehÃculo cruzara ambos carriles, pasara a la mediana interior, luego regresara a la carretera y girara. En el vehÃculo estaban sus dos hijos pequeños, de 4 y 7 años. El niño de 7 años fue expulsado junto con su madre. MCHD transportó a la madre en estado crÃtico al Hospital Kingwood. Los dos niños fueron transportados al Memorial Hermann en el Centro Médico de Texas en estado grave. La policÃa de Splendora investigó el accidente y pudo determinar que los ocupantes no llevaban cinturones de seguridad o que no habÃa asientos de seguridad para niños en el vehÃculo.
