HOUSTON – Just before midnight on Friday, Vicki Brentin and her fellow area Rotarians exited an American Airlines flight at George Bush Intercontinental Airport into the waiting arms of her husband.
A delegation of area Rotarians went to Haiti early last week on a scheduled humanitarian mission to deliver medical supplies and advance projects for clean water to the impoverished country.
The group had no way of knowing they would accidentally be a part of history.
They arrived just prior to the start of earthquakes that devastated that country.
For the next several days, the Rotarians assisted in any way they were able.
Listen to each of their stories, uncut and unedited.
