2 AM-FM 2090 remains closed at the river bridge between Splendora and Plum Grove. This after someone pulling a travel trailer, which was in extremely bad shape, became detached from the towing vehicle and crashed into the bridge railing. Currently, it teeters on the railing. It was unable to be removed by a wrecker. TXDOT is responding to the scene with heavy equipment to move it and inspect the bridge for damage. The license plates on the trailer expired 10-years ago. After becoming detached about midnight, the driver and towing vehicle fled. If anyone has knowledge of who was towing the trailer or witnessed the incident is asked to call the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.
