Saturday Night Double Shooting in Cleveland

Police Seek Info from Public

LIBERTY COUNTY, TX- On Saturday, around 11:50 p.m. shots rang out in the 100 block of Charles Barker Avenue at Parkview Apartments, in Cleveland, striking two people.

According to a 27-year-old male victim, someone fired gunshots into his apartment from the parking lot, grazing the left side of his head.  The man’s roommate, another man, said he returned fire toward the parking lot, where the shots came from. The second man sustained a gunshot wound to his shoulder area.

A possible suspect was seen fleeing north on-foot toward Houston Street, according to the victims. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

Cleveland Fire Department and Allegiance EMS arrived and started treating both gunshot victims, who were later transported by ambulance to Houston area trauma centers with serious injuries. Both victims are expected to survive.
