Saturday night shows people in Montgomery County do realize that law enforcement is not playing any longer on DWI’s.
With only twelve arrests Friday was one indicator but Saturday night was even better.
Houston Police Department assisted Montgomery County from 11pm to 5am. During that time the BAT Mobile was parked at the intersection of 242 and IH-45. From the time they set up until the time they shut down for the night not one DWI was processed. For the county there were only 5 arrests total. Of the five, two were mandatory blood draws and three volunteered breath samples.
Law enforcement did indicate that the night was quite busy and many parties were observed but patrons used common sense in not drinking ad driving. Also to note there were no serious accidents during that time.
