The “Dawgs Fight Back” rescue has taken custody of the three pups we featured yesterday, who were found discarded on a Montgomery County roadside in a cardboard box. They were seriously injured and could easily have died if not for a Good Samaritan who picked them up and took them to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
The puppies have a lot of damage and the road to recovery requires a lot of intense care by people experienced with injured dogs. Dawgs Fight Back is already showing them love and care, but they’re a small rescue, and they could use some help to keep the pups alive and make them healthy.

Left in a cardboard box on the side of the road, to die like trash. These girls have found their way in to our rescue. After seeing a horrific post from our local shelter, our medical director contacted them immediately. The shelter went out of their way to make sure these pups got to us last night. We didn’t want them to spend one night in the shelter

These girls are very sick. Two of them are oozing pus from their eye sockets and all the wounds on their faces. One may need some stitches all over her face, but we cannot tell until the swelling goes down. And we won’t know if we can save their little eyes until the swelling goes down. They have started antibiotics, pain meds and all the other puppy stuff. They are all currently eating. One is a playful pup, but two are just sleeping while they heal. Today is bath day and we pray it will give them some more relief.
We could really use funds for vetting these girls as it may be extensive, depending on the damage we find. We’ve also attached our wishlist if you’d like to send the some gifts
