About 10 pm Wednesday the Coldspring Fire Department received several calls for a fire with explosions at the bus barn for the Coldspring-Oakhurst ISD. Firefighters arrived to heavy fire from 4 busses and a fifth bus just igniting. They, with the help of Shepherd Fire Department were able to get the fire under control. Superintendent Moore said the bomb squad from the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office was on the way as was the Texas State Fire Marshal from Austin. The cause has not been determined. He said the students are on Spring Break but transportation tells him they can handle Monday but it will be tough.
