SECOND HOUSE FIRE OF THE NIGHT IN THE WOODLANDS

At 1130 Sunday evening The Woodlands Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 2400 block of Box Oak Place in the Village of Grogans Mill. Engine 103 went on the scene and reported a working fire in a two-story home with a fire in the living room near the fireplace that spread to the second floor into the attic.  Firefighters made an offensive attack and were able to bring the fire under control in about 20 minutes. The home suffered heavy damage. The occupants evacuated safely before our arrival and there were no reported injuries. The home suffered significant damage. TWFD was assisted by South Montgomery County Fire Department Montgomery County Hospital District and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate the blaze’s cause. Temperatures were in the upper twenties at the time of the fire.
