Brian Joseph Ortiz, who has been employed by Conroe ISD since September 2011 as a UIL Referee and is paid by the district to preside over athletic events throughout CISD. This includes Caney Creek High School has been arrested. The charge is Improper Relationship Between a Student and Educator.
According to documents obtained by MCPR the male adult student at Caney Creek High School met Ortiz at a home coming event in October 2012.
In January 2013 they began talking and then began dating in February 2013.
Ortiz is 25-years-old and also employed by Bank of America.
The entire episode came to light when Ortiz, who was dating the male told Sutton, the CISD Police Officer that he (Ortiz) would go to the media if Sutton didn’t back out of the relationship.
Ortiz is being held on a $100,000 bond.
