The man accused of shooting four people, including a Liberty County sheriff’s deputy, and killing two of them was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound several hours after Wednesday’s shooting.
The manhunt for 65-year-old Pavol Vido had been underway since around 7 a.m. that morning. Authorities confirmed that he shot himself just after 2 p.m.
Vido is also accused of shooting and killing secretary, Toni Kelly of Hockley.
According to Justice of the Peace Ralph Fuller, the second victim, identified as David Grubbs, has also died at Conroe Regional Hospital.
His brother, Chris Grubbs, who was also shot, has since been removed from ICU.
Liberty County sheriff’s Deputy Whitten’s family says he is in serious, yet stable condition and making progress.
