On Thursday, December 10th, 2015 at 1:41am Officer George Suarez was patrolling the area of Old City Park when he observed a white Honda Accord.
Officer Suarez made contact with the occupants of the vehicle due to the vehicle being in the park after hours.
As Officer Suarez approached the vehicle, he observed a male lying on top of a female, both had their pants down. Officer Suarez instructed both subjects to dress themselves and exit the vehicle. Officer Suarez began questioning the male and female separately about their conduct.
Officer Suarez’s investigation found that the male met the female via a social medial application.
The male drove to the female’s residence to pick her up. They then drove to the park at which they had sexual intercourse.
Officer Suarez discovered the female was 14 years of age at which he contacted the female’s parents. It was found the female snuck out of the residence to meet the male without the parent’s knowledge.
The 19 year old male was identified as Rodrigo Vargas (Cleveland). Vargas was arrested for sexual assault of a child.
(Vargas was arraigned and his bond was set at 10,000.00. He bonded out of jail on December 11th, 2015)
