At 10:45 am Sunday a Honda Civic was on Lee Turner turning onto SH 105 East. The male driver failed to yield the right of way to an 18-wheeler and was struck in the driver’s door. NMC Fire arrived on the scene and initiated CPR but the driver was pronounced deceased on the scene. 105 was down to one lane for just over two hours as DPS investigated the crash. This was the second fatal crash at this intersection in just over a month. In that crash, a young mother passed away and a baby was transported to the hospital and remains critical to this date. Update later this afternoon. 105 is back open.
