SH 105 OPEN AFTER FATAL CRASH

Just before 1pm Montgomery Police responded to a major accident on SH 105 West (Eva St.) at Flagship in the City of Montgomery. Montgomery Fire Department and MCHD also responded from the fire station just two blocks away. They arrived on the scene to find a motorcycle driver down, his 2013 Harley Davidson with front end damage. Also a 2011 Chevrolet pickup with right front damage and air bag deployment. A nurse who had come up on the scene was performing CPR on the motorcycle driver who was in his late 60’s. He was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

According to Montgomery Police who were assisted by DPS, the motorcycle was eastbound on SH 105. The pickup was westbound on SH 105 and turned into the shopping center parking lot in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle slammed into the truck. The driver of the truck was uninjured but has submitted to a voluntary blood draw as required by law in a fatal crash.

The investigation is continuing. Names will be released as soon as police are able to notify next of kin.

Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
