Just after 4:30 pm, a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed east on SH 105 struck a vehicle that failed to yield the right of way. The impact was so great that it pushed the vehicle at least 40 feet and the motorcycle exploded. Witnesses say the motorcycle was moving as such a high rate of speed it would have been hard for anyone to see it coming. Conroe Police remain on the scene assisted by DPS in the investigation. The eastbound lanes should reopen just after 9 pm. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene for the inquest and ordered Eichenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
