Shenandoah Police Arrest David Bowie!

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- On Wednesday, Shenandoah Police Officers were alerted by the FLOCK license plate reader system that a known burglary suspect vehicle was traveling through Shenandoah. The vehicle was believed to be responsible for numerous prior burglaries in Montgomery County.
Since burglaries of vehicles tend to peak during lunch hours, Shenandoah officers knew it was crucial to fan out and attempt to locate this vehicle. A short time after the initial alert, Shenandoah officers located the vehicle along the I-45 commercial corridor, and conducted a traffic stop accordingly.
While conducting the traffic stop, both Shenandoah and Oak Ridge Police Departments were alerted to multiple vehicle burglaries which had just occurred. Shenandoah officers completed a diligent roadside investigation and were able to determine that the suspect was responsible for those vehicle burglaries.
As a result, the suspect was arrested on two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle. The freshly stolen property was located within his vehicle and returned to their rightful owners.
David Allen Bowie, of Houston, is charged with Burglary of Vehicles with 2 or more previous convictions. Bond was set at $2,500. The case will be heard in the 359th District Court.
