Just before 7 pm Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a shooting in the 23700 block of Charterwood just off US 59 and south of Splendora. MCHD responded to the scene as they were told the victim had been shot in the lower extremity. Once the scene was secured by deputies medics moved in to find the victim dead.
The suspect is in custody at this time. MSCO is awaiting detectives to arrive on the scene. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office has just arrived on the scene, we will have additional details as they are available.
