On 2-8-16, at approximately 11:32 am, Conroe Police Officers were dispatched to Walmart located at 18700, Highway 105 W. in reference to a shoplifter in progress of concealing several items of merchandise while inside the store. As the suspect was exiting the store, a loss prevention employee attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect immediately pulled away from the Walmart employee, displayed a hand gun and pointed it at the employee. Conroe Police officers observed the suspect with the gun and his threat towards the Walmart employee. An Officer, in fear for the life of the Walmart employee and other citizens in the area, shot the suspect in left shoulder. The suspect was taken to Conroe Regional Medical Center, treated and released back into police custody. No one else was injured or hurt. The gun the suspect displayed was later found to be air soft/bb gun.
