Sheriff Sowell with the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the vehicle reported abandoned by a citizen on SH 249 at County Road 307 is that of the Harris County Silver Alert search. The Silver Alert issued last week was last seen in the area of Cypresswood and SH 249 last Wednesday. Now officials are searching the area using drones, manpower, and TDCJ dogs in the search. Jenkins was wearing a brown vest with a long-sleeved shirt, and red plaid pajama pants with suspenders. Jenkins is 84-years-old and is on medication for dementia. Jenkins is 6 feet 1 inch and 201 pounds with gray hair, a gray mustache, and blue eyes. He was last seen driving a 2014 white four-door Toyota Camry with Texas license plate number MWB8729 which is the vehicle that was located.
