Single vehicle MVA kills 1 in EMC

CONROE- Around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday DPS, EMS, and Cut and Shoot Fire Department responded to FM 1485 in a sharp curve near Paver’s Supply Co., northwest of the railroad tracks and southeast of Jefferson Chemical Road, where they found a one vehicle accident.

DPS officials said a westbound 1991 Toyota sedan driven, by 41-year-old Teresa Segura of Conroe, left the road on the right shoulder for unknown reasons over corrected and went back across the road and then struck a pine tree. A witness pulled Segura from the car and began CPR, but was unable to revive her. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Segura’s death was the fifth known automobile fatality in Montgomery in two weeks.
