Dr. Syed Ibrahim, chief epidemiologist with the Montgomery County Hospital District has confirmed a 44-year-old South Montgomery County resident has tested positive for the West Nile Virus.
There have been no deaths in Montgomery County. However, Dallas has had fifteen deaths and 3 deaths in Harris County. In the state with a reported 1,76 cases confirmed this year there have been a total of 58 deaths.
