SJRA: Secure Vessels Around Lake Conroe and Stay Weather Aware

San Jacinto River Authority operators continue to be and will remain on duty to closely monitor the rainfall expected throughout the San Jacinto River Basin. Per operating protocols, SJRA manages Lake Conroe water level by releasing any time the lake level exceeds 201ft. msl.

Due to thunderstorms in the northern part of the Lake Conroe watershed, releases will likely increase in the evening into Wednesday morning. Please follow www.sjra.net for real time Lake levels and releases.

We are in communication with the National Weather Service, Coastal Water Authority, local offices of emergency management, and other regional partners.

To stay weather aware during the rainfall this week, make sure to follow your local Office of Emergency Management, as well as local weather sources, and the National Weather Service – Houston.

One of the major river authorities in Texas, SJRA’s mission is to develop, conserve, and protect the water resources of the San Jacinto River basin. Covering all or part of seven counties, the organization’s jurisdiction includes the entire San Jacinto River watershed, excluding Harris County. SJRA does not levy taxes, nor does it receive funding from the Texas Legislature.
